Genealogical Narratives

ADAMS FAMILY GENEALOGY – The Adams Family Genealogy document traces our family history from Revolutionary War ancestor Gilbert Adams to Grandma Mae Marybelle (Devore) Burton and her descendants, through her father Lawrence Earlen Devore. This document was written in 1944 and was the starting point to prove eligibility for membership with the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.). The Adams Family Genealogy document is a thirteen-page document in PDF format available for download.

ESLER GENEALOGY – The Esler Genealogy was carefully typed over 100 years ago (1917-1918) and includes 10+ generations, starting with ancestors from the early 1600’s who lived in the Dutch settlements of Nieuw Amsterdam, now New York. This family line pre-dates the American Revolution, and continues through George Nazro Esler, a soldier in the Civil War. George was Grandma Mae Marybelle (Devore) Burton’s great-grandfather through her mother Lillian Belle (Lewis) Devore. The Esler Genealogy is a nine-page document in PDF format available for download.
