Earl Frederick Burton was the middle child and only son of Gustaf F(rederick) Burton and Emma Louise Johnson. The family lived in Hopkins, Minnesota. Earl graduated from Hopkins High School in 1924 and married Mae Marybelle Devore in 1931. The two made their home in St. Louis Park, MN. The couple had five children: Richard (Dick) Earl Burton, Robert (Bob) Lewis Burton, Ronald (Ron) Willard Burton, Janice Mae Burton and Jon Lawrence Burton. It has been a challenge to locate ancestors for Earl’s maternal branch of the family. Research continues and I invite anyone who has additional information to contact me.
